Description

Implement and maintain scalable backend features for a high-availability, mission-critical network management application. You’ll work with senior developers and architects to translate system requirements into reliable distributed microservices, write clean SOLID code with tests, and support deployments, configuration, and monitoring across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments. The role also includes lab operations support, Agile participation, and keeping technical documentation current.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend features for a mission-critical network management platform
• Translate system requirements into distributed microservices with senior team members
• Handle deployment, configuration, and monitoring of services across cloud/hybrid/on-prem
• Write test-covered code following SOLID principles and participate in peer code reviews
• Use AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Google Gemini) to speed up coding and debugging
• Support lab operations: manual installations, application updates, and testing of configurations
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain up-to-date engineering documentation

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with modern Java (ideally Java 21+) and the Spring Framework
• Experience building, integrating, and testing microservices
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Experience with event-streaming tools such as Kafka or EventHubs and solid PostgreSQL SQL skills
• Comfort working in Linux environments, including basic automation scripting, and understanding of standard network protocols
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub workflows, and DevOps practices
• Problem-solving mindset, eagerness to learn, and collaborative teamwork
• Fluent English for communication and documentation
