Description

You will support and shape enterprise architecture activities by translating business-oriented target visions into concrete system landscapes, migration paths, and consistent architecture roadmaps. The role involves guiding large initiatives in alignment with strategic architecture targets, enabling agile/hybrid operating models, and moderating stakeholders across decentralized teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide methodological coaching and sparring for decentralized Business Domain Architects on capability maps, domain target visions, and roadmaps.
• Consolidate partial target visions into a consistent end-to-end enterprise architecture roadmap; further develop architecture principles and technology guardrails.
• Perform current-state vs target-state (as-is/to-be) analyses and provide architectural support for strategic cross-cutting projects to ensure alignment with the IT target picture.
• Prepare architecture boards and decision templates; coordinate the business target visions with the enterprise architecture.
• Establish consistent modeling standards to reduce workload for the DBA Lead and avoid redundancies across domains.

Requirements

• Deep enterprise architecture understanding and practical experience in designing and operationalizing complex, business-oriented target architectures using capability-based planning.
• Excellent ability to structure and translate abstract target visions into concrete system landscapes and understandable migration paths.
• Experience managing large projects aligned to strategic target visions within agile or hybrid operating models.
• Strong stakeholder management skills to confidently moderate between decentralized architects, project leads, and external partners.
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset focused on evolutionary progress (“good enough”).
• Very good German and English skills and willingness to work mainly at the international headquarters in Neckarsulm.
