Technical Writer (Aviation Documentation) position based in Prague. Single-shift schedule with the possibility to work from home depending on individual circumstances. Salary range: 45,000–70,000 CZK per month. Start date: immediately or by agreement.

Description

You will create and maintain aviation technical documentation, including English manuals, spare parts catalogs, and other guides with images, schemes, and diagrams. The role also includes producing 3D technical illustrations and authoring documentation mainly according to the S1000D standard. You will collaborate closely with designers and developers and manage documentation content, revisions, and versions.

Responsibilities

• Create technical documentation in the aviation domain (e.g., aircraft manuals, spare parts catalogs).
• Write manuals primarily in English, including images, schematics, and diagrams.
• Produce 3D technical documentation content and develop manuals mainly according to S1000D.
• Collect information and work in close cooperation with engineers and developers.
• Work with standards, revise texts, manage document versions, and create clear diagrams/schemes.

Requirements

• Technical secondary or university education (mechanical, electrical, or aviation).
• Advanced English (B2/C1), as documentation is created primarily in English.
• At least 1 year of experience in creating technical documentation or in integrated logistic support or aircraft maintenance.
• Knowledge and orientation in aircraft equipment construction, technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
• Practical knowledge of S1000D (experience with documentation databases is a plus).
• Responsibility, attention to detail, independence, ability to express information precisely, good organizational skills, flexibility, and teamwork.
• Advantage: orientation in IPS methods and user-level CAD/PMD.
• Advantage: knowledge of Corel Draw and Cortona 3D, plus experience with documentation creation tools (e.g., XML editors, Arbortext, Oxygen).
