Description

Enhance and maintain Alpha/Charles River Development modules as part of an agile scrum team. You will build robust, scalable, and secure React front ends and integrate them with Java backend services, while providing engineering troubleshooting assistance to customer support and other development teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using React.js.
• Implement reusable, responsive, high-performance UI components using frontend architecture patterns.
• Develop programs and applications using Java.
• Integrate React applications with Java-based backend services.
• Collaborate with UX, backend, QA, and DevOps teams in a structured enterprise environment.
• Participate in backend development tasks such as API integration, minor enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability standards are met.
• Participate in agile processes including code reviews, sprint planning, and release activities.
• Write unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality end product.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely fixes.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience working with React and Java.
• Experience with React Hooks and component-based architecture.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, DOM, and Modern CSS3.
• Experience with React/JavaScript libraries including Redux and RxJS.
• Object-oriented programming experience (Java and/or C#).
• Experience with relational (RDBMS) and non-relational databases.
• Experience integrating REST and WebSocket APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics (or equivalent); M.S. strongly preferred.
• Plus: Azure, microservices, and micro-frontend architecture; experience in financial services.
