Description

Build and maintain production-grade ML models and decision systems that personalize the product experience, optimize financial decisions, personalize communications and user experiences, and support fraud controls. Develop, evaluate, deploy, monitor, and improve both batch and real-time models, while building reliable data pipelines and features for model development. Translate business questions into DS solutions and communicate model results and tradeoffs to product and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve, and maintain ML models for personalization (on-demand pay balance optimization and content personalization) and fraud controls

• Create reliable data pipelines and features for model development; identify data infrastructure gaps and partner with engineering on solutions

• Develop, evaluate, deploy, monitor, and iterate on batch and real-time models following production standards

• Select algorithms and techniques by evaluating tradeoffs and recommending the best approach

• Write clean, well-documented, traceable, versioned, and reproducible code for models and pipelines

• Follow and improve data quality standards and validation practices; proactively flag issues

• Partner with product and engineering to translate business questions into DS solutions, including senior-level guidance for ambiguous or high-stakes problem framing

• Communicate model results and tradeoffs clearly, connecting technical outputs to business outcomes

Requirements

• 5+ years of Machine Learning experience in fintech, payments, or a similarly regulated consumer domain

• Proven production track record shipping ML models that impact end-user experience

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, machine learning, statistics, data science, or related)

• Independently built models that drive measurable business outcomes, including deployment to production and success-metric alignment

• Advanced SQL and Python; experience building and maintaining feature engineering pipelines and scalable data infrastructure

• Hands-on end-to-end deployment experience, including monitoring, drift detection, and A/B test execution

• Experience owning production models where failures have financial or compliance consequences

• Strong proficiency across modern AI, classical ML, statistical, and probabilistic methods; rigorous evaluation of approaches
