Description

You will help build and mature a centralized Cloud Product Engineering capability that standardizes and simplifies internal use of native GCP services (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions). The role designs and operates GCP infrastructure for a data mesh architecture project, developing reusable Terraform modules and consistent engineering patterns. You will collaborate with data engineers and architects to optimize the GCP platform for scalability, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Request GCP services or permissions from the Central Cloud Engineering team via the established JIRA process
• Design, configure, and maintain the GCP environment for the data mesh architecture project
• Collaborate with teams to define infrastructure requirements and ensure platform scalability, security, and reliability
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automation using cloud-specific deployment models (GitHub Actions)
• Create and maintain documentation for GCP infrastructure and deployments
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks on the GCP platform
• Follow cloud standards, best practices, and engineering guides

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform, including compute, storage, networking, and security services
• Proven experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using GCP, Terraform, and GKE
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools (GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Shell scripting)
• Knowledge of Anthos Service Mesh / Istio, networking and firewall rules, and Helm charts
• Familiarity with GCP Monitoring and Logging
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex issues
• English level B2+ for effective communication with global teams
