Description

Join the SAP Platform Operations team to help keep SAP landscapes secure, available, and running smoothly across on-premise and cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) as well as RISE with SAP. You will operate stable environments and also participate in conversions, migrations, and continuous modernization of the SAP platform. You’ll follow an individual training and certification path with dedicated time for self-education.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day administration and support of SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, SAP ECC, NetWeaver, Fiori/Gateway, Web Dispatcher)
• Resolve incidents, service requests, and changes at the SAP Basis level, including initial root-cause and performance analysis; escalate non-standard cases
• Participate in project activities: SAP client/system copies, kernel and SPS patching, database and OS upgrades, S/4HANA conversions, and cloud migrations (Azure, AWS, GCP, RISE with SAP)
• Perform regular security patching (SAP Security Notes), certificate renewals, and support system hardening plus SSO/identity integration (SAML, Microsoft Entra ID)
• Handle backup/restore and disaster-recovery operations and testing, including support for high-availability setups
• Manage alerts and maintain monitoring configuration in SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager/Focused Run, or third-party tools
• Contribute to automation of repetitive Basis tasks (shell/PowerShell scripting, SAP LaMa) and manage day-to-day transport and release activities
• Standardize tasks, document solutions, and share knowledge with less senior colleagues
• Develop technical skills toward a selected technology domain

Requirements

• 3–7 years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience
• Experience with SAP HANA administration (knowledge of another database platform is an advantage)
• Very good understanding of kernel upgrades, SPS/patching, and client/system copy operations
• Exposure to SAP running on hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP) or in RISE with SAP/private cloud
• Knowledge of Linux (SLES/RHEL) and/or Windows Server administration
• Experience with SAP monitoring and operations tooling (SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager/Focused Run, Dynatrace, Xandria or similar)
• Ability to independently prove and develop your technical skills over the long term
• Very good written and spoken English
• Good working knowledge of ITIL 4 and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA)
