Senior Fullstack Engineer (PHP/Symfony + JavaScript/Vue)

Senior • On-site

204,000 - 264,000 PLN/yr

Poznań, WP, Poland

Quick Facts

  • Role: Senior Fullstack Engineer (PHP/Symfony + JavaScript/Vue)

  • Scope: End-to-end development and refactoring toward a modular monolith

Description

You will actively shape what the team builds and how, from requirements and technical scoping to implementation, deployment, monitoring, and learnings. The role focuses on end-to-end change delivery, refactoring key legacy functionality into a new modular architecture, and co-designing a modular monolith using bounded contexts and module integration contracts. You will also deliver front-end changes where needed, including Vue components and API integration, while raising engineering quality through best practices, code reviews, and a deliberate testing approach.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in defining scope and proposing solutions during requirements gathering

  • Deliver key end-to-end changes: hypothesis → technical design → code → deployment → monitoring → conclusions

  • Refactor key legacy functionality into a new modular architecture with ongoing support for the existing system

  • Design modular monolith architecture: define module boundaries (bounded contexts) and integration between modules

  • Co-create platform conventions and engineering patterns to maintain technical consistency

  • Implement front-end changes where required (Vue components, API integration, consistent app integration)

  • Improve team quality via best practices, code review, and conscious testing practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial experience building software in a complex project/production product

  • Very strong knowledge of PHP and Symfony; conscious use of design patterns with rationale

  • Comfortable with the front end using VueJS and TypeScript; able to build and maintain the UI layer for changes you own

  • Experience working with legacy systems; ability to untangle complex/critical code and migrate it safely into modular architecture without stopping business

  • Product thinking: connect engineering work to user value, including knowing when to intentionally drop features under pressure

  • Knowledge of DDD and bounded contexts to extract modules and design module integration (the team is early in this journey)

  • Conscious use of AI tools in engineering work and help build a culture of smart use in the team

  • Ability to design stable contracts between modules; write code for performance and reliability under production load

  • Strong relational database skills (PostgreSQL/MySQL): read execution plans and index intentionally

  • Treat tests as part of the definition of “done”

Benefits

  • Hybrid work model: meet in the office twice a week, rest remote

  • Private healthcare, group insurance, and Multisport card

  • Meal support and funding for personal development

  • Compensation: 17,000–22,000 PLN net + VAT for B2B, with an annual bonus tied to company performance
