Description

Lead the development and adoption of enterprise-wide data architecture practices in a highly regulated, research-driven environment. Shape data strategy, establish scalable information management frameworks, and enable data-driven initiatives across business functions. Partner with business and technology teams to ensure data assets are reliable, accessible, and ready for advanced analytics and emerging AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise data architecture principles, standards, and governance practices
• Design scalable data solutions for reporting, analytics, and operational processes
• Translate business needs into reusable, high-quality data products and information models
• Guide teams in adopting consistent data structures, semantic frameworks, and architectural best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology domains to drive data-related initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve data capabilities and support development of an AI-ready data ecosystem

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in data architecture, data management, analytics, or related areas within a highly regulated industry
• Strong knowledge of modern data architecture concepts, including distributed data platforms and scalable data management approaches
• Practical experience with cloud-based data environments, data modeling, and SQL
• Understanding of data governance, reference and master data management, metadata, lineage, and data quality practices
• Experience supporting research, development, or scientific data domains and working within regulated compliance frameworks
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
