Description

You will design, build, and continuously improve the intelligence layer behind recommendation and GenAI-powered products. This is an end-to-end role spanning data exploration, modeling, experimentation, evaluation, and production iteration, emphasizing real-world reliability and deployment. You’ll collaborate with founders, backend engineers, and product teams to translate business goals into ML solutions with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve ML systems for recommendations, ranking, personalisation, retrieval, and GenAI workflows
• Translate product goals into ML problems, evaluation approaches, experiments, and production solutions
• Analyze behavioural, transactional, contextual, and unstructured data to improve model performance
• Build offline evaluation frameworks and support online experiments to measure quality and business impact
• Improve GenAI workflows (retrieval, context management, prompting, tool usage, orchestration, evaluation)
• Perform error analysis and investigate model limitations to enhance reliability
• Collaborate with backend and platform engineers to deploy, monitor, and iterate on production ML
• Define ML metrics, experimentation practices, and technical standards
• Build reusable ML components and maintain clean, testable Python code
• Support predictive analytics initiatives (segmentation, churn prediction, opportunity ranking, etc.)

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping ML systems or intelligent product features
• Strong foundations in machine learning, statistics, computer science, or related quantitative fields
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with ML workflows
• Experience developing and evaluating ML models in production or near-production environments
• Understanding of model evaluation, feature engineering, experimentation, and data quality challenges
• Experience with behavioural, transactional, contextual, or large-scale datasets
• Strong software engineering practices (clean, testable, maintainable code)
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and solve ambiguous technical problems
• Upper-Intermediate English level or higher
