Description

You will build, maintain, and optimize stable ETL processes to ensure reliable and high-performing data flows for reporting, analytics, and operational systems. The role includes defining data models, implementing automated data processes with ABAP and SQL, administering SAP BW (monitoring and error analysis), and supporting migration to SAP Datasphere. You will also operate and improve data and BI systems to maintain stability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize stable ETL processes for reliable, performant data flows
• Design consistent, scalable data models for reporting, analytics, and operational systems
• Implement technical requirements using ABAP, SQL, and other scripting languages for automated data processes
• Develop, maintain, and administer SAP Business Warehouse including monitoring and error analysis
• Support the migration of SAP BW to SAP Datasphere and implement new data architectures during transformation projects
• Operate, monitor, and further develop data and BI systems to ensure stability, performance, and security
• Deliver data projects in close collaboration with business stakeholders—from requirements understanding to productive implementation

Requirements

• Completed degree in Data Science, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration/Economics, or a comparable field, plus relevant professional experience
• Experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL processes and strong understanding of performant data flows
• Solid knowledge of ABAP and SQL, ideally plus additional scripting languages
• Practical experience with SAP BW and motivation/initial experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BO/Web Intelligence), SAP Datasphere, and ideally SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Project management experience and strong communication skills in German (B2/C1) and English (B1/B2)
• High data affinity and analytical thinking, with understanding of business processes and interest in IT trends, tools, and AI technologies
