Description

The Chief of Hematology provides leadership to the hematology department across clinical care, research, and education. This is a clinically focused leadership position emphasizing a collaborative, team-based style and the ability to leverage and grow an established, nationally recognized hematology program. The Chief must also be operationally savvy, with business acumen and cultural sensitivity to lead within a complex matrix organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for hematology clinical, research, and education missions
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary care delivery with specialists
  • Support faculty training and career development
  • Lead administrative and operational initiatives for the program

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Hematology
  • Significant experience treating lymphoid malignancies, leukemias (chronic and acute), or plasma cell disorders (myeloma)
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain an Illinois Medical License prior to start date
  • MD or DO
