QA Automation Engineer (Product QA)

Mid • Remote

Warsaw, Poland

Quick Facts

Product QA / QA Automation Engineer focused on end-to-end automation and durable regression.

Description

Translate business requirements and acceptance criteria into automatable E2E test scenarios, then build and maintain stable regression coverage with Playwright and TypeScript. Diagnose issues using DevTools/network, test APIs, and use AI to accelerate risk analysis and test creation—while independently verifying results. Your work directly impacts product stability for teams using the web application every day.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements before implementation; identify ambiguities, edge cases, and risks; prepare automatable acceptance scenarios
  • Test new features and changes before release (functional and exploratory testing)
  • Run regression for the most important user paths
  • Develop and maintain stable Playwright E2E tests that reflect business rules and document expected product behavior
  • Report bugs with clear reproduction steps, evidence, environment, and impact assessment; verify fixes
  • Turn recurring bugs and edge cases into lasting regression scenarios
  • Co-create release quality checklists and point out improvements needed in the testing process
  • Collaborate with developers and the Customer Success team during diagnostics
  • Use AI to generate test cases, perform risk analysis, and support automation
  • Collaborate on integrating E2E tests into the CI/CD pipeline while ensuring speed and stability

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial experience testing complex web applications with business logic (preferably product/SaaS)
  • Ability to map business requirements and acceptance criteria to clear, automatable acceptance scenarios
  • Domain-driven thinking to anticipate edge cases and risks
  • Ability to perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
  • Ability to reproduce, describe, and document bugs precisely
  • E2E test writing with Playwright in TypeScript (1–2 years practical experience) and strong knowledge of POM
  • Diagnostic mindset: investigate network traffic and DevTools errors, test APIs, and write simple SQL queries
  • Ability to write stable, deterministic E2E tests and understand their behavior in CI/CD
  • Use AI to speed up work, with independent verification of outcomes
  • Evaluate risk for the user and proactively communicate issues
  • Take ownership of results
  • Optional: experience testing browser plugins (Web Extensions)

Benefits

  • Long-term, stable collaboration with flexible working hours (not full-time)
  • Real impact: work closely with developers and decision-makers to influence functionality before release
  • Co-build the QA system: standards, regression strategy, and test automation/process for releases
  • Visible outcomes: edge cases found can become tests that protect future releases
  • Shared quality responsibility: developers own code/unit/integration tests; QA adds an independent verification layer
  • Long-term product growth: learn users, workflows, and business rules
  • Practical AI usage for risk analysis, scenarios, and automation support with independent validation
