Description

Join the Application Networking organization to define multi-year product and technical strategy. You will shape the architectural path for how Netflix services communicate securely—covering external traffic entry, service-to-service calls, and identity/access enforcement—across consumer and enterprise traffic.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering Leads to set the organization’s multi-year product and technical strategy

• Drive architecture for the communication backbone connecting services, devices, and partners to Netflix at global scale

• Ensure secure-by-default interactions and enforce identity from users to services to agents

• Influence roadmap and where stakeholders invest beyond your own team’s execution

Requirements

• Track record setting technical direction and influencing architecture across organizations

• Experience architecting, building, and operating foundational distributed systems or platforms at massive scale

• History of identifying and pursuing high-impact opportunities in ambiguous, undefined problem spaces

• Experience shaping or contributing to open-source communities, or building systems that set standards others adopt

• Track record elevating senior engineers and setting the technical bar others follow

• Experience communicating effectively across engineering, product, and executive audiences
