Network Engineer

Description

As a Network Engineer, you will execute network strategy by translating high-level designs into robust, scalable solutions. You will work in a core infrastructure team as a technical link between clients, development projects, external vendors, and internal security teams.

You will design and implement network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You will work with the Lead Technology Architect to align projects with the technical roadmap and standards, while helping refine technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate the strategic network vision into detailed technical designs for implementation.
  • Lead the technical execution of network projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Collaborate with network specialists and operations teams to implement, configure, and troubleshoot advanced network solutions.
  • Continuously improve network standards, documentation, and best practices.
  • Partner with the IT Security team to integrate security controls into network designs.

Qualifications

Requirements (Must-Haves)

  • Significant experience as a Network Architect or Network Engineer, focused on technical design and implementation.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, WiFi, VPNs, and proxies.
  • Experience implementing or managing complex data center and campus networks.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of network security principles.
  • Deep practical experience designing and implementing Microsoft Azure network components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical execution skills.
  • Proficiency in English.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Professional-level network certifications.
  • Cloud networking or security certifications, such as Azure or AWS networking specialty certifications.
  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes.
