Description

You will help develop and maintain an existing compliance console, a digital tool for leadership teams in client organizations. The system is already in use; you will harden it, expand its backend and React frontend, import customer data, and operate/host the application securely on Linux. You will also develop an AI assistant by integrating an LLM API, designing prompts, and improving the quality of compliance-related answers.

Responsibilities

• Harden the existing system: interfaces, permissions, input validation, error handling, and test coverage
• Extend backend and the data model: database schema, API, authentication, and tenant/role separation
• Maintain and extend the React frontend
• Import and prepare customer data from Excel or existing systems
• Improve the AI assistant (Claire): connect the language model, prompt design, and quality assurance
• Operate hosting and deployment: backups and restore, logging, monitoring, and incident troubleshooting
• Maintain technical documentation, including work toward ISO 27001 certification
• Collaborate with compliance coaches to capture requirements, translate them into data models, and propose solutions

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in a server-side language (PHP 8.x)
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Ability to write SQL directly and understand what ORM generates
• JavaScript and React skills for working on an established codebase
• Ability to deploy and operate an application on Linux (web server, database, TLS, backups, and logs)
• Documented experience with development and documentation in an ISMS context (ISO 27001)
• Routine use of AI-assisted development tools
• Ability to translate business requirements into entities, relationships, states, and transitions
• Ability to implement domain requirements technically
• Clear German communication and ability to ask questions and formulate requirements
• Independent, focused, self-organized working style
• Creativity within defined rules and security constraints
