Senior Backend & AI Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join an international team delivering modern backend and AI-powered solutions.

In this role, you will develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and FastAPI while working with AWS cloud services, ETL pipelines, Docker, and CI/CD practices. You will also contribute to AI/LLM-based applications, including RAG solutions, document analysis platforms, and chat interfaces, while collaborating with an international team to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-grade backend applications using Python
• Design and implement REST APIs using FastAPI
• Build scalable backend services and API-driven architectures
• Integrate backend applications with external services and APIs
• Design and implement ETL pipelines for data processing and transformation
• Work with PostgreSQL and relational databases
• Apply data modeling fundamentals to support backend and data solutions
• Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker
• Work with AWS Glue, AWS Batch, Amazon ECS, Amazon S3, and Amazon ECR
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and follow modern development practices
• Contribute to cloud-native backend architectures and scalable solutions
• Develop and maintain AI/LLM-based applications and services
• Work with LLM and RAG-based applications, document analysis platforms, and chat interfaces
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders
• Manage code using Git and participate in code reviews

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in Python software engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI and backend development
• Experience with REST API design and implementation
• Good understanding of backend application development and service integration
• Experience working with API-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines
• Experience with data processing and transformation
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Understanding of data modeling fundamentals
• Experience with Docker and containerized application development
• Good knowledge of AWS cloud services, particularly AWS Glue, AWS Batch, Amazon ECS, Amazon S3, and Amazon ECR
• Experience with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
• Experience developing and maintaining production-grade applications
• Practical experience working on AI/LLM projects
• Experience with LLM/RAG-based applications, document analysis, or chat interfaces
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment
