Description

A Data Science Intern handles and analyzes large datasets to uncover valuable insights using statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate findings into actionable business strategies, may assist with predictive model development and automating data collection, and supports data quality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Work with SQL and Python for data analysis, machine learning, and visualization
• Apply knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms
• Use data visualization tools such as Posit or Power BI
• Manage and analyze large datasets using statistical methods and machine learning to derive actionable insights
• Translate business goals to technical expertise
• Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for decision-makers
• Collaborate with senior team members
• Communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders and present results to business users

Requirements

• Current student (senior or higher)
• Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Computer science, data science, statistics, math or a related analytical concentration
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week)
• Commuting to the designated work location in-person per hybrid work policy
