Description

Define and execute the overall engineering strategy and roadmap, aligning with business objectives and product vision. Lead and grow engineering leaders and individual contributors, and oversee design, development, and deployment of core platform/product offerings with focus on scalability, reliability, security, and performance. Drive technical architecture decisions and best practices across software development, quality assurance, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the overall engineering strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of engineering leaders and individual contributors.
  • Oversee design, development, and deployment of the core platform and product offerings.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
  • Drive technical architecture decisions; promote software development, quality assurance, and DevOps best practices.
  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and other executive teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends; evaluate and incorporate relevant advancements.
  • Represent the engineering vision externally to customers, partners, and the broader tech community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering; at least 8 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale engineering organizations.
  • Proven track record building and scaling successful, high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Deep expertise in modern software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), microservices, and agile development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of data security, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and compliance requirements in the healthcare industry.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities; can engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions integration from an engineering perspective is a plus.
