Description

Creates global marketing strategies and tactics for a designated product line aligned with business unit strategies and objectives to achieve revenue, margin, and market share goals. Leads strategic planning, product positioning, and cross-functional execution of action plans and new product launches, including forecasting, financial planning, value proposition creation, competitive analysis, market pricing, and product life cycle planning. Uses market trends and customer/market analytics to develop strategies and roadmaps, and delivers product to market through marketing communications, promotions, and training.

Responsibilities

  • Create global marketing strategies and tactics for designated product line to support revenue, margin, and market share goals.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership on action plans and new product launches; include forecasting and business case development.
  • Develop value proposition, perform competitive analysis, assess market trends, and establish market pricing.
  • Plan product lifecycle and create product training and sales support materials.
  • Develop a detailed strategic roadmap aligned with the strategic plan.
  • Create and assess the marketing plan for strength and sustainability of strategic choices.
  • Use analysis techniques covering market trends, segment sizes, growth opportunities, competitive landscape, feasibility, profitability, product/positioning, and Voice of the Customer.
  • Collect data and evidence to strengthen value propositions.
  • Gather insights across markets to determine similarities and develop archetypes.
  • Support and communicate cross-functionally with customers, R&D, sales, quality, regulatory, finance, operations, and more.
  • Lead creation and development of product positioning and sustaining positioning for products/brands.
  • Recommend tactical initiatives that leverage customer segments and needs to establish competitive advantage.
  • Prioritize new product and lifecycle enhancements/management across products and markets.
  • Deliver product to market through strategic marketing, communications, promotions, and training.
  • Drive strong two-way relationships with sales management for aligned marketing and sales planning and strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing communications for collateral and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with training specialists to develop and deliver sales training and customer presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5 years of experience in Product Management / Marketing required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated effective strategy implementation, planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to apply business acumen including financial, market and industry trends, and market analytics.
  • Demonstrated initiative.
