Description

Operate and maintain packaging/distribution equipment to meet production schedules, while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and quality compliance. Perform line setup, configuration, inspections, and changeovers; keep production records; and coordinate with QA and Maintenance. Has the authority and responsibility to stop the line and notify QA of a contamination event.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Comply with company standards and OSHA requirements
• Ensure the lines are set up and running to the production schedule in accordance with work orders
• Understand line and pump configuration; clean and inspect lines; perform line changeovers as needed
• Perform pre-start-up inspections on equipment and ensure failed checks are addressed
• Maintain manufacturing areas clean and organized
• Willing to multitask and be flexible
• Keep accurate production records
• Collaborate with Supervisors and Maintenance Personnel to resolve equipment setup and operations issues
• Work with the QA Dept to understand, recognize, and rectify quality issues
• Stop the line and notify QA of a contamination event
• Ability to perform duties of both a packaging operator and material handler
• Manage hazardous and universal waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned with or without accommodation
• Demonstrate mechanical ability
• Critical decision-making skills, creativity, and multitasking ability

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in packaging or distribution
• No certifications required
• Preferred: experience in a chemical plant
• Preferred: familiarity with cGMP and RCRA training

Benefits

Expected pre-tax pay: $43,500.00–$69,575.00 (actual pay may differ based on experience and geographic location). Other benefits not specified in the provided posting.
