Join us as a Credit Product Underwriter III – Commercial. This role underwrites more complex commercial transactions including financing for investment real estate, owner-occupied real estate, working capital, equipment, LBOs/acquisitions, healthcare-related opportunities, and SBA-guaranteed credits. The CPU III provides product and industry expertise by designing and executing solutions for specialized clients and transactions, performing unique due diligence and analysis based on business type and structure. With a high prospect share (50%+), the CPU III manages multiple active credit requests across locations and prioritizes effectively while maintaining strong communication with Relationship Managers and other team members.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • Conduct complex credit analysis for investment real estate, owner-occupied real estate, working capital, equipment, LBOs/acquisitions, healthcare-related opportunities, and SBA-guaranteed credits

  • Handle credit conversations, decision making, and communication with credit leadership and Relationship Managers

  • Support efficient deal approvals while mitigating risk

  • Prepare commitment reports for all multi-state markets supported by the lending center

  • Provide client-facing consultation to deliver the best integrated solution

  • Mentor and train junior underwriters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8+ years of credit analysis/credit products underwriter experience, or 14+ years of equivalent work-related experience
