Description

Join the Cloud Engineering/Managed Services team to onboard and secure AWS hosted single-tenant environments, and to automate sustainable, repeatable architecture for future growth. Build and scale secure AWS infrastructure, maintain overall health of an AWS cloud-based managed service, and develop automation tools including availability/health metrics, monitoring, and regular system maintenance. Architect and enhance solutions running the On-Guard Cloud access control system in a large, distributed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build, scale, and secure the underlying AWS infrastructure that hosts Lenel On-Guard
  • Manage OS and collaborate with software developers and end-users to diagnose issues
  • Manage infrastructure services, application deployments, cloud services, and monitoring
  • Provide visibility into business and systems performance metrics
  • Work with internal teams to maintain, manage, and enhance the platform
  • Expand configuration management infrastructure to enable rapid deployment of new services
  • Collaborate with Information/Cyber Security for security audits and proactive recommendations/improvements
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
  • Develop engineering and automated deployments for IaaS system configurations on IaaS
  • Troubleshoot and maintain redlined documented procedures
  • Implement engineering changes to the system as required
  • Integrate and test software and/or hardware components required by customers

Requirements

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 3+ years of AWS Experience, including IaC/IaaS/service work; AWS CDK preferred
  • AWS CloudFormation or Terraform or other IAC formats (including Ansible, CI/CD pipelines)
  • AWS VPC
  • AWS S3 Buckets
  • EC2
  • AWS CloudWatch
  • AWS Lambda
  • AWS SSM
  • 2+ years Networking Experience, including Linux or Windows systems administration and/or related development
  • VPC, NACLs, Security Groups, Public/Private IPs
  • Firewalls and Port Configs
  • DNS
  • Subnetting
  • Packet tracing and network debugging (e.g., Wireshark, Microsoft Network Monitor, tcpdump, pktmon, netsh trace, tshark, WinDump)
  • Other DevOps experience
  • 3 years of coding and automation experience
  • Experience across full SDLC in Agile environments
  • Experience implementing and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency in C#
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python
  • POWERSHELL (required)
  • 1-3 years of relational database experience (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Ability to work 24/7 on-call rotation with 2 others

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • OnGuard experience (operating/administering/configuring)
  • Windows patching experience
  • 2+ years understanding systems development lifecycle (often Kanban)
  • Experience in IoT environments and connected-device ecosystems
