Description

You will drive the evolution of an enterprise-wide logical data model with a global team. This role centers on Teradata MLDM (Manufacturing Logical Data Model) and supports the evolution of an MLDM-based structure for a unified data platform, including model lifecycle, scope boundaries, and development backlog. You will map business concepts and source systems into an MLDM-based structure to speed up development in target areas outside the Teradata platform itself.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid mapping from business concepts and source systems to a Teradata MLDM based structure to accelerate development in non-Teradata target platforms

• Support the evolution of the enterprise logical data model, including the end-to-end model lifecycle, model boundaries, and development backlog

• Design and develop logical and physical data models to help data product teams build better data products

• Establish modeling standards, guidelines, and ways of working for stable teams, including change process and modeling best practices

• Create golden examples and reusable modeling templates

• Review and integrate model changes with strong quality controls through co-creation

• Ensure alignment between the model, glossary, and data governance

• Measure adoption and impact of the data model

• Prototype MLDM-based structures in targeted non-Teradata areas

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data modeling

• Strong grasp of both normalized and denormalized data models

• Proficient in data analysis

• Strong hands-on experience modeling with Teradata MLDM, on Teradata Vantage or another platform (Essential)

• Familiarity with the Teradata Vantage Data Model or a similar enterprise data model framework

• Comfortable working in an agile environment

• Collaborative, with a knack for negotiating stakeholder interests

• Experience with co-creation methods

• Strong command of English
