Description

You will lead and contribute to the development of resilient enterprise applications focused on Risk & Compliance, Model Risk Management, and Operational Risk Management. The role combines backend microservices and APIs in Java/Spring with end-to-end delivery that may include React + TypeScript UI components.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a technical team and provide expert guidance for complex project delivery
• Design, build, and support backend microservices and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Data, REST, and security best practices
• Create solution architecture diagrams and documentation (e.g., UML)
• Deliver end-to-end features, including React + TypeScript UI components when needed
• Implement microservice architectures with clear API contracts and event-driven integration patterns
• Develop workflow-driven capabilities using BPMN and integrate workflow components into services
• Engineer for production readiness with logging, error handling, resilience, and observability
• Build and maintain batch processing workloads where applicable
• Drive software quality through automated testing, code scanning, and remediation
• Containerize applications with Docker and deploy via Kubernetes for cloud environments
• Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams using JIRA, Confluence, and Wiki to support continuous delivery

Requirements

• At least 8 years of enterprise application development experience with strong backend engineering expertise
• 2+ years leadership experience managing delivery, mentoring, and technical ownership
• Hands-on experience with microservices and micro-database architecture
• Strong knowledge of event-driven systems design
• Expertise in Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, REST, Security)
• Front-end experience with ReactJS and TypeScript
• Experience drafting API specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI
• Strong automated testing skills (JUnit, mocking frameworks, H2, HttpUnit or similar)
• Experience supporting batch processing programs
• Expertise in logging, error handling, and production system resilience
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services development
• Familiarity with code scanning tools and security/quality standards
• Comfort working in Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA and Confluence
• Communicative English (good command required)
• Existing legal right to work in Europe
