Description

The role works on data projects using PostgreSQL, Python, and data warehousing systems, focused on processing very large volumes of information. You will join a newly formed 5–6 person competency hub in Poland that will gradually take full subject-matter responsibility for the project from a team in Spain. You will co-create a critical banking application for revenues management and stock reconciliation in a multi-cloud environment (AWS and GCP).

Responsibilities

• Co-create a critical banking application for revenues management and stock reconciliation
• Build and develop data processing in a multi-cloud environment (AWS and GCP)
• Develop competencies in DWH, data integration, and database solutions
• Tackle technology and development challenges related to Data and data analysis

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Data Engineer / Python Developer / Data Engineer / Data Scientist / Analytics Engineer or similar
• Very good Python skills with practical commercial experience using Pandas and NumPy
• Ability to use Python for processing, transformation, and analysis of large datasets
• Experience working with very large data volumes, including structures counted in billions of records and terabytes of data
• Ability to write efficient Python code and optimize data processing
• Ability to analyze data processing problems and identify their sources across various systems and data sources
• Experience building, developing, or maintaining ETL / ELT processes using Python
• Good knowledge of SQL and practical experience with PostgreSQL (not required to be a database administration or tuning expert)
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries and analyze their performance
• Basic or good knowledge of data partitioning and working with large tables
• Ability to independently diagnose issues and keep processes running in a production environment
• English proficiency B2/C1
