Site Reliability Engineer

Description

Build and maintain large-scale cloud systems for startups and established businesses in the U.S. and Europe, supporting large user bases, big datasets and rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Implement cloud-based infrastructure for complex, large-scale systems and develop specialized data-processing software.
• Advise clients and their development teams on cloud-native solutions and develop in-house utilities for managing cloud systems.
• Provide technical and business guidance in projects together with Cloud Architects, and manage cooperation with clients.
• Solve unconventional technical challenges.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining cloud-based systems for web applications, data pipelines or other services.
• Thorough familiarity with AWS and GCP services, their best practices, and their effective use.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, CloudFormation or similar tools, and modern configuration-management tools such as Ansible or Chef.
• Strong programming skills, regardless of technology choice.
• Ability to stay current with cloud trends and learn new tools and technologies quickly.
• Proficiency in mathematics, theoretical computer science and practical aspects of advanced algorithms.
• Deep knowledge and experience in software optimization, networking concepts, operating systems and low-level optimization.
• Strong communication skills, including English and Polish at C1+ level, and ability to represent the company with partners.
• Ability or willingness to lead a small team, organize work and set priorities in line with client business expectations.

Bonus points

• Significant MLOps experience.
• Detailed knowledge of cloud service providers other than AWS and GCP.
• Degree in theoretical Computer Science.
