Senior Project Manager

Description

Fibertide designs, maintains, and develops large-scale cloud systems for startups and established businesses in the U.S. and Europe, supporting large user bases, big datasets, and rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects with international reach.
• Manage and lead small engineering teams of around five people.
• Align company goals, client expectations, and team needs.
• Design project-specific formalized procedures for recurring activities.
• Provide feedback and perform cross-department tasks for other company divisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience leading or managing a team in a cloud, SRE, large-scale, or high-complexity systems environment.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in projects requiring strong Computer Science, networking, operating systems, database optimization, or distributed systems skills.
• Great communication skills, including English and Polish at C1+ level, with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clients.
• Understanding of team dynamics and the ability to lead and respond to changing needs, conflicts, priorities, and effectiveness issues.
• Ability to manage personal time and help others manage theirs.
• Ability to translate between technical and business language.
• Solid understanding of cloud systems’ purpose and mechanisms.
• Software development experience in C++, Go, or Python.
• Experience building systems in AWS, GCP, or Azure using an Infrastructure as Code approach, such as Terraform.
• Experience delivering security- and compliance-focused solutions, such as designing and implementing ISO27001-related policies.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, such as Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.

Bonus points

• Excellence in theoretical Computer Science or Mathematics.
• Significant experience managing complex Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong experience working with external clients in the U.S. and UK markets.
• Fluency in French, German, Spanish, Danish, or Dutch.
