Software Engineer (Python / AWS)

We are looking for an engineer to join the Engineering Team and develop the Silvair Platform: cloud infrastructure, services, appliances, and web applications designed to make mesh network management easy, fast, and reliable.

You will work with up-to-date technologies and concepts including microservices, JavaScript, Python, Open API, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, AWS, Git, Terraform, and Jenkins. You will collaborate with specialists to develop and maintain robust smart-lighting solutions in the IoT and smart-building industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features and functionalities across business logic, API, and persistence layers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, particularly service decomposition, cloud infrastructure, and long-term technical-debt reduction.
• Perform code reviews to maintain code quality and share technical knowledge across the team.
• Write and maintain automated tests across the testing pyramid to ensure reliability and prevent regressions.
• Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into solid technical solutions.

Essential Job Requirements

• Solid experience (3+ years) with Python and Pytest.
• Practical experience with asynchronous programming in Python.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and familiarity with event-driven architectures.
• Production experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Operational experience with Docker and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.
• Ability to write clean, well-documented, maintainable code, with a focus on architecture and minimizing technical debt.
• Self-reliance in everyday work, strong communication skills, and effective collaboration in cross-functional teams.
