For a client operating in the financial sector, we are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support cybersecurity initiatives and teams.

What you will be doing

The role will report to the Technical Delivery Lead and work within an Agile, DevSecOps software delivery environment. You will manage two Scrum teams within Cybersecurity Engineering and work closely with Cybersecurity project teams, Control Owners, and the business.

  • Guide Scrum teams in using Agile values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver technical solutions.
  • Ensure the effective use of collaborative processes and remove impediments for Scrum teams.
  • Train, mentor, and support team members in becoming self-organising teams.
  • Facilitate internal communication, discussions, decision-making, conflict resolution, and effective collaboration.
  • Work with Product Owners to manage backlogs and new requests.
  • Track and manage delivery dependencies between teams.
  • Coordinate closely with other teams.
  • Ensure work is delivered to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Guide development teams to improve their Scrum maturity.
  • Help build a productive environment where team members own their deliverables and enjoy coming to work.
  • Inspire incremental change that increases Scrum team efficiency.
  • Work with other Scrum Masters in a Scrum of Scrums to collectively deliver Cybersecurity Engineering objectives.

What you will bring to the role

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent).
  • At least two years of experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team.
  • Excellent knowledge of collaborative leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Knowledge of Agile patterns and techniques, including burndown metrics, backlog tracking, velocity, task definition, retrospectives, and defect management.
  • Demonstrable experience managing bespoke software and/or digital development, experience-design, implementation, and integration projects from inception through delivery.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

  • Product Owner experience.
