RPG/IBMi Developer

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to support SO&T’s strategic transformation. This role focuses on strengthening the digital logistics platform (VIPSwhMB), improving system robustness, and enabling integration with new distribution centers.

The person will join a stable Agile team, working in sprints and contributing directly to the evolution of VIPSwhMB global warehouse management systems on IBM iSeries.

Hybrid work: 1–2 days in the office (Wrocław).

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with RPG (ILE / Free Format)
• Strong hands-on experience with CL
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL
• Strong hands-on experience with DB2
• Strong hands-on experience with REST
• Strong hands-on experience with VS Code/RDI
• Strong hands-on experience with Turnover

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power BI
• Knowledge of warehouse management or supply chain processes
• Experience working in distributed/global teams

Other

• Experience working in IBM iSeries / AS400 environments
• Experience working in Agile ways of working (Scrum or similar)
• Good English communication skills, spoken and written
• Based in or willing to work from Wrocław; on-site collaboration required

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy warehouse applications on IBM iSeries (AS/400)
• Ensure system stability, performance, and reliability
• Design and implement new functionalities aligned with business needs
• Support integration with operational processes
• Collaborate within a stable Agile team, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and daily ceremonies
• Work in iterative development cycles (sprints) to deliver continuous improvements
• Contribute to platform modernization and technical enhancements
• Help reduce deployment and operational risks for new distribution centers
