Team/Role Overview

Risk Technology delivers solutions for Rates Trading desks and develops and maintains a complete suite of risk technology solutions for the Rates and FX, including Derivatives, businesses. The role offers exposure to multiple asset classes within a global team serving clients across 70+ countries.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
• Provide user and operational support for applications.
• Recommend and develop security measures through post-implementation analysis of business usage to ensure system design and functionality.
• Consult with users, clients, and technology groups; recommend advanced programming solutions; and install and support customer-exposure systems.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
• Work with limited direct supervision and exercise independent judgment and autonomy.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members.
• Assess risk in business decisions, support compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies, and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in modern Java development with strong Spring Boot and microservices experience.
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Excellent understanding of distributed-system design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with high-availability, resilient, low-latency applications is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
