Senior SAP BW/HANA Developer

We are seeking a talented SAP BW/HANA Developer to design and maintain robust data models, workflows, and reporting solutions for manufacturing, engineering, and business domains. The role focuses on optimizing large-scale datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SAP BW (Business Warehouse) solutions, including InfoObjects, DSOs, Transformations, Process Chains, and Queries.
• Create SAP HANA native models, including Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, and SQLScript for backend data processing and aggregation.
• Build scalable data architectures and workflows to support analytics and operational reporting.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and non-SAP systems.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to enable interactive dashboards and real-time reporting in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other visual tools, such as Spotfire.
• Ensure high data quality and resolve discrepancies by monitoring data flows and troubleshooting.
• Optimize data processing performance and scalability for large datasets and complex workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineers, business analysts, and solution architects, to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Work within Agile (SAFe) environments, participating in sprints, planning, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BW and HANA development.
• SAP BW development expertise: InfoObjects, DataSources, DSOs, Transformations, Process Chains, and Queries.
• SAP HANA native modeling expertise: Calculation Views, Procedures, CDS Views, and SQLScript.
• ETL and data-pipeline design in SAP BW or HANA environments.
• Experience integrating SAP ECC and S/4HANA with third-party tools.
• Database optimization and performance-tuning skills.
• Familiarity with Web IDE for SAP HANA and SAP BW/4HANA environments.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ADO.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid backend and ETL development foundation with SAP systems.
• Solid ABAP knowledge for BW activities, including extractor development and code optimization.
• Proven ability to optimize large-scale datasets and workflows.
• Strong collaboration skills and Agile-environment experience.
• Manufacturing or engineering domain experience, such as quality assurance or supply-chain analytics, is a plus.
