Senior Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated tests for APIs, integration processes, and data flows.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Create regression tests and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.
• Support the implementation of the Automation First approach.
• Cooperate with developers, analysts, Product Owners, and other teams.
• Support automation of new features and existing products.
• Analyze test results and prepare test evidence.
• Use AI and GitHub Copilot to improve test automation efficiency.
• Participate in defining and evolving the automation strategy.
• Architect scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks.
• Support quality-related activities across the team.
• Mentor less experienced team members in test automation practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience of 6+ years in automated software testing within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of QA methodology, including test planning, test design, test execution, defect management, regression testing, and continuous quality improvement.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17+, object-oriented programming, Clean Code principles, and POJO-based design patterns.
• Practical experience with RESTAssured, JUnit 5, and Lombok for API test automation.
• Solid knowledge of REST architecture, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON/XML payloads, and SOAP/WSDL contracts.
• Strong experience in REST and SOAP API testing, integration testing, backend services, and data distribution processes.
• Hands-on experience with test reporting tools, particularly Allure.
• Good experience in SQL and database testing, including data validation and backend process verification.
• Practical experience in testing integration solutions, asynchronous flows, Kafka-based integrations, data pipelines, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with qTest and Jira for test management and defect tracking.
• Strong Git skills, including branching strategies, pull request workflows, code reviews, and conflict resolution.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution using Jenkins and/or Bamboo.
• Good understanding of Agile ways of working and Scrum ceremonies.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to an Automation First approach.
• Experience in preparing test evidence, automation reporting, and test coverage documentation.
• Ability to mentor and support less experienced team members.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing and GitHub Copilot usage in test automation.
