You will work with the Head of Data and AI office on R&D and product initiatives across every stage of the AI and data lifecycle. The role involves defining client-tailored MVPs, understanding data to identify meaningful insights, developing proof of concepts in notebooks, and productionizing solutions with an MLOps and LLMOps mindset.

Experience in data engineering within cloud-native architectures for operating data, AI, and enterprise systems at scale is beneficial. Experience delivering on Lakehouse platforms, particularly Databricks, is a strong advantage.

Description

Your daily work will include:

  • Define and develop proof of concepts for Data and AI products and solutions
  • Conduct market and technology research and architect optimal solutions for business challenges
  • Map AI/ML techniques to specific business problems
  • Build and productionize solutions on the Lakehouse using Databricks, including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, MLflow, Model Serving, Mosaic AI Agent Framework, and Vector Search
  • Forecast operational AI costs for solutions at scale
  • Support business intelligence reporting to guide Data solutions
  • Develop end-to-end data products and solutions with an MLOps and LLMOps mindset within the Data and AI framework
  • Conduct product and feature discovery meetings with clients to identify cost-efficient solutions aligned with their goals, budgets, operations, talent pools, and data maturity
  • Execute within established AI delivery and operations patterns and best practices

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience delivering end-to-end Data and AI solutions and products
  • Experience delivering systems and solutions with LLM agentic architectures
  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures and operations
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or a comparable Lakehouse platform, such as Snowflake, BigQuery with Vertex, or Microsoft Fabric
  • Familiarity with machine learning mathematical toolboxes
  • Experience with containerized, scalable, elastic deployments and microservice architecture using REST or gRPC
  • Data engineering experience
  • SQL proficiency
  • Understanding of data architectures: OLTP, OLAP, vector and graph databases, and column-based file formats
  • Knowledge of DevOps, MLOps, and LLMOps best practices
  • Innovative, curious, outcome-focused mindset
  • Collaborative mindset focused on win-win outcomes
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking
  • Experience with Transformers, PyTorch, Jupyter notebooks, Python, pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and scikit-learn
  • Databricks certifications (Data Engineer Associate/Professional, ML Associate/Professional, Generative AI Engineer Associate) are a nice-to-have
