Azure Engineer (Mid/Regular)

Responsibilities

• Maintain Azure cloud-based infrastructure components, including Linux and/or Windows virtual machine servers, Container Apps, Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Azure SQL, Azure Virtual Desktop, Application Gateway with WAF, PowerShell Runbooks, and Bicep.
• Design, implement, and oversee CI/CD pipelines for projects using Azure DevOps.
• Manage Microsoft 365 tenants and online services: SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, Intune, Autopilot, and Windows 365.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Azure Bicep.
• Improve operating-system component and network performance.
• Harden Windows and Linux servers.
• Implement system security measures and use Azure advanced security tools to protect operations.
• Monitor and maintain system performance to ensure reliability and scalability, including Zabbix.
• Stay current with Azure services and technologies to refine systems and practices.
• Provide technical support to engineers and business owners on M365, cloud infrastructure, and Azure services, including after-hours work for scheduled tasks.
• Develop proactive failure-handling procedures.
• Create, update, and implement system-support procedures, including access granting, resolving Azure service access issues, problem reporting, and proactive resolution.

Technical Requirements

• Fluent in Azure environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Bicep or similar tools.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL Database, Azure Virtual Machine, and Azure Storage.
• Ability to deploy and manage Azure monitoring and logging services.
• Understanding of networking concepts, including VNETs, NSGs, and VPNs; identity services, including Microsoft Entra and RBAC; and security best practices.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Zabbix experience.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role with significant exposure to Azure environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience deploying, managing, and optimizing applications with Azure Container Apps; knowledge of microservices architecture and Azure serverless containers.
• Experience with Azure Databricks for big-data analytics, data engineering and data science workflows, and integrating Databricks into a DevOps strategy for data-intensive applications.
• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
