Devops Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, or a high-potential Mid-level candidate, to help ensure a cloud-native commerce solution runs reliably on Kubernetes. The role balances development of new infrastructure with maintenance and optimization of production environments.

Work setup

• Work from the Gliwice office or remotely from anywhere in Poland.
• Visit the Gliwice office at least once per month to meet the team.

Infrastructure Design & Evolution

• Collaborate with the DevOps Team Lead to design, build, and scale cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Support developers running a complex headless e-commerce solution on Kubernetes, ensuring environments are reproducible and efficient.
• Identify innovative ways to improve infrastructure and stay ahead of technology trends.

Operational Excellence & Maintenance

• Own platform stability and reliability, balancing new capabilities with maintenance of existing systems.
• Refine CI/CD processes and automation to support smooth, frequent, and safe deployments.
• Investigate and resolve deep-level production infrastructure issues and performance bottlenecks.

Monitoring & Security

• Use cloud-native solutions to monitor system health and proactively address potential failures.
• Implement security best practices across the stack, embedding security in automation and infrastructure.
• Optimize system performance and cloud costs through data-driven analysis and tuning.

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Work with the DevOps Lead and Engineering team to connect code and production operations.
• Document infrastructure configurations, automation workflows, and disaster-recovery processes.
• Share knowledge and best practices with the development team to foster a DevOps culture.

About You

• 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role.
• High proficiency with Kubernetes and hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience, including GKE, Cloud Storage, and Compute Engine.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, and experience building or maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Pragmatic approach to building systems and maintaining stable, reliable platforms.
• Effective Polish and English communication skills at a minimum B2 level.
• Ability to take ownership in a startup-like environment.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with OWASP standards and automated security testing tools such as OWASP Dependency-Check.
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with observability stacks such as New Relic or Data Dog.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, growth-stage company.
