Senior System & Integration Analyst (f/m/x)

About the project

We are looking for an experienced Senior System & Integration Analyst to join a long-term project within a large international organization from the financial sector.

The role combines system analysis, requirements engineering and integration design. You will act as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business needs into clear technical requirements, integration designs, API specifications and data models.

This is an analytical and design-focused position rather than a software development role. Strong hands-on experience with REST API design and UML is particularly important.

Your responsibilities

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather business and technical requirements.
• Analyze existing systems and documentation to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including requirement specifications, process flows and system designs.
• Design REST APIs following best practices and architectural standards.
• Create UML diagrams and BPMN process models.
• Develop user stories and clear acceptance criteria.
• Create logical and physical data models and database schemas based on business requirements.
• Design integration patterns and data flows between systems.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects and other technical teams.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops and design sessions.
• Review requirements and design artefacts to ensure quality and consistency.
• Ensure solutions and documentation comply with data governance and management standards.

Our requirements

• Strong experience as a System Analyst, Integration Analyst, Business/System Analyst or in a similar role.
• Expert-level knowledge of REST API principles, design patterns and best practices.
• Hands-on experience designing scalable and maintainable APIs — not only consuming or testing existing ones.
• Strong practical knowledge of UML and experience creating system documentation and diagrams.
• Very good knowledge of BPMN and business process modelling.
• Strong requirements gathering and analysis skills.
• Practical knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Data Modelling, including logical and physical data models and relationships between entities.
• Understanding of Data Governance and Data Management principles.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall and DevOps.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture principles.
• Good command of English (minimum C1).

Optional

• Knowledge of SOAP / WS-* and XML-based web services.
• Experience writing acceptance criteria using Gherkin (Given/When/Then).
• Experience with Git-based version control platforms.
• Previous experience working in a large enterprise or financial environment.
