Junior Business Analyst (German)

We are looking for an ambitious Junior Business Analyst to join a consulting delivery team in Frankfurt. In this role, you will act as a key operational backbone for project workstreams—ensuring clean documentation, structured tracking, and seamless communication between senior consultants, client representatives, and internal stakeholders. This is an excellent launchpad for an aspiring analyst looking to build expertise within the Financial Services sector.

Core Responsibilities

• Meeting & Workshop Governance: Record detailed summaries, track decision logs, capture action items, and organize documentation from stakeholder workshops.
• Requirements & User Stories: Assist in capturing business requirements, drafting functional user stories, and specifying detailed acceptance criteria.
• Project Tracking & Systems: Keep project boards up to date (Jira/Confluence), manage risk & issue (RAID) registers, and track deliverable milestones.
• Process & Testing Support: Help map business workflows, compile test scenarios/scripts, and monitor open defect resolutions.
• Reporting & Materials: Design structured slide decks (PowerPoint) and maintain analytical tracking sheets (Excel) for workstream reporting.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Follow up on pending deliverables and action items with internal teams and external client partners.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of document formatting, data accuracy, and evidence gathering across project artifacts.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Essential Requirements

• Background: Early career experience (internship or entry-level) in Business Analysis, PMO, Project Coordination, Banking Operations, or Management Consulting support.
• German Language: Fluent written and spoken German (minimum C1) capable of participating in client workshops and writing professional documentation.
• English Language: Business-fluent English for internal collaboration and reporting.
• Location & Presence: Willingness to work onsite in Frankfurt at least 50% of the time for the project duration.
• Analytical Basics: Practical familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and modern collaboration software.
• Mindset: Exceptional diligence, strong organizational capabilities, and a proactive attitude toward supporting senior team members.

Highly Desirable (Nice-to-Have)

• Domain exposure to Wealth & Asset Management, Securities, Brokerage, or Fund Administration.
• Hands-on familiarity with agile management platforms (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
• Fundamental understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks or PMO methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in data manipulation (Excel) or presentation design (PowerPoint).
