Automation Tester (EU public)

About the role

Opportunity to contribute to a project involving the development, consulting, and support of IT systems for Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency. Frontex supports EU Member States and Schengen-associated countries in managing the EU’s external borders and combating cross-border crime.

Our expectations

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in test automation
• ISTQB Advanced certification or 3 years of experience in test design
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of higher education
• Practical knowledge of software testing tools
• Experience testing with Azure DevOps Test Plans
• Hands-on coding experience in one of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or VBS
• Hands-on test automation experience with Playwright or equivalent
• Hands-on experience creating SQL queries
• Hands-on experience testing SharePoint-based applications
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Proficiency in English; certification is an advantage
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, including 5 visits per month to the Warsaw office

Main responsibilities

• Design and document test cases for software systems
• Execute tests
• Conduct exploratory test sessions
• Report test results and identified defects
• Interpret test results and report test progress and issues
• Cooperate with analysis, architecture, software development, and service desk teams
• Review project documentation
• Take the test lead role in smaller projects
