Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in both functional and automation testing to join an Asset Management technology team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright or Cypress with C#, along with strong database validation skills. The candidate will work closely with business analysts, developers, and product teams to ensure the quality and reliability of critical investment management applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end functional and automation testing of web-based applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or Cypress with C#.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements.
• Validate application functionality, data integrity, and business workflows.
• Perform backend database validation using SQL queries.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
• Ensure adequate test coverage across new and existing functionalities.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks and testing processes.
• Support regression, integration, system, and UAT testing activities.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in software testing.
• Strong experience in both Functional Testing and Automation Testing.
• Hands-on expertise with Playwright or Cypress automation tools.
• Strong programming experience in C#.
• Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of test design techniques and software testing methodologies.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries for data validation and testing.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar ALM tools.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
