Krakow-based opportunity with a hybrid work model of up to 4 remote days per week.

As a Senior Identity & Access Management Application Developer – Cloud-Native API Specialist, you will design and implement scalable, secure identity workflows across Google Cloud Platform. You will integrate APIs, event-driven architectures, and automation to support enterprise security and access management.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement identity lifecycle workflows for provisioning, de-provisioning, and orchestration.
  • Integrate Cloud Identity Services, ServiceNow, and internal platforms for seamless identity management.
  • Develop policy-based orchestration workflows for adaptive authentication and context-aware access.
  • Build, secure, and document RESTful APIs and backend services supporting identity, governance, and provisioning.
  • Integrate APIs with authentication services for token validation, session management, and authorization.
  • Develop SDKs, middleware, and shared libraries to ensure consistent IAM logic across systems.
  • Ensure high API security, resilience, performance, and observability.
  • Build pipelines that publish API events to Pub/Sub, enabling asynchronous workflows and automation.
  • Develop cloud functions and microservices to process Pub/Sub messages with robust event-processing patterns.
  • Automate IAM and API deployment using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical guidance on API security, IAM best practices, and identity workflows.
  • Collaborate with security teams for audits, compliance, and incident resolution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in identity and access management or related fields.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Node.js for API and microservice development.
  • Proven experience deploying cloud-native APIs using Google Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, or GKE.
  • Deep understanding of event-driven architectures, Pub/Sub, and workflow automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SAML, and federation patterns.
  • Proficiency in Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Experience with API gateways, service meshes, or reverse proxies.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage cross-functional teams.
  • Ownership mentality, security-first approach, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, agile environments.
  • Fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with full-stack development using React.
  • Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Cloud Architect certification.
  • Knowledge of additional identity providers, including Okta, Azure AD, and Ping Identity.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, including GKE RBAC and workload identity.
  • Experience with secrets management tools such as Secret Manager or Vault.
  • Understanding of SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI, and HIPAA compliance frameworks.
