Integration Software Engineer

Communications Service Providers (CSP) are major customers. The work involves building, testing, launching, and operating systems for telecommunications customers to keep them relevant, reliable, and effective.

The Unified Management Platform (UMP) enables Communication Service Providers to automatically set up, upgrade, and monitor millions of client routers. The role is suited to someone with programming and networking knowledge.

This role is onsite / partially remote, with Kraków preferred.

Quick Facts

  • Customize the platform for customer needs through code and configuration
  • Work directly with customers during delivery and post-delivery support

Key Responsibilities

  • Write code and configure the platform during project delivery
  • Write project-specific code in the platform GUI to facilitate router configuration
  • Implement REST API integrations with external systems, including servers and clients
  • Configure the platform GUI to display, monitor, and report router KPIs
  • Report to the Solution Architect and work with Software Engineers through code reviews

Post-delivery Technical Support

  • Support implemented integrations and work with first- and second-line support teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly
  • Ensure documentation and knowledge transfer to customer and support teams
  • Work directly with customers through the support portal, email, and calls

Qualifications

  • Fluency in programming
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology (preferred), Software Engineering, IT, or Electronics and Telecommunications
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language; Python is preferred
  • Willingness to learn an in-house Scala-based functional language
  • Experience writing REST API integrations on both client and server sides
  • Familiarity with firewalls, IP, WLAN, TCP/UDP, HTTP(S), and SNMP
  • Basic Linux administration skills, including gathering logs, executing scripts, and using CLI tools such as curl, ssh, ss, tcpdump, traceroute, and ping
  • Fluent English at B2/C1 level

  • Rapid learner who is analytical, detail-oriented, and able to solve complex problems independently as requirements evolve
  • Comfortable communicating directly with customers, listening to and clarifying their needs and expectations
  • Able to manage deadline pressure and context-switch across multiple projects in a week

Nice to Haves

  • Professional experience as a Software Engineer
  • Experience in a network-related role involving integrated multi-system environments
  • Telecommunications-domain experience, including ACS, NMS, OSS, or BSS knowledge
