Senior Python Developer

Work on backend data workflows for a health insurance client, handling sensitive healthcare data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate processes, analyze data, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Python for backend development, task automation, data manipulation, and analysis
• Deep understanding of relational databases, query optimization, indexing, and data warehousing principles
• More than 1 year of experience with React
• Ability to read, interpret, and enforce healthcare regulations and data privacy rules, such as HIPAA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, clear technical documentation, and team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize Python scripts and backend systems for data processing, system automation, and data analysis
• Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines for large healthcare datasets
• Review, understand, and apply healthcare regulations to ensure system compliance and data integrity
• Document technical findings, workflows, and process changes
• Communicate with technical and non-technical team members to report insights, troubleshoot issues, and align project goals
• Participate in the on-call rotation every 5–6 weeks; most pages occur during working hours
