Senior Python Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our technology team and contribute to building robust, data-driven applications that support key financial processes. In this role, you will develop backend systems that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of financial operations.

This position offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies and frameworks, including cloud-based containerization, real-time data pipelines using Kafka, Python programming, and automated CI/CD workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend Python applications that support financial workflows and operations.
• Create systems for cash management, liquidity tracking, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and resilience.
• Work closely with colleagues to gather requirements and design scalable, performant solutions.
• Optimize application performance and implement efficient, maintainable code.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and validation.
• Integrate backend services with APIs and front-end applications when necessary.
• Document technical processes, solutions, and workflows in a clear and structured manner.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience as a backend developer using Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with AWS.
• Proven experience designing and implementing backend systems from architecture to production.
• Strong skills in code optimization, performance tuning, and relational database design (MSSQL preferred).
• Solid understanding of authentication, API integration, build processes, testing, and state management.
• Experience with source control tools (Git preferred).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript and React.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational database systems.
• Previous experience in the financial sector or with financial software applications.
