GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer (hybrid - Kraków)

For a partner project, we are looking for a GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer to work in a hybrid model in Kraków.

Your duties will include

  • Develop and maintain the GCP foundation platform supporting application deployments.
  • Design and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform.
  • Integrate and manage cloud services, including IAM, networking, logging, monitoring, operating systems, and containers.
  • Collaborate with Application DevOps teams and local and global IT teams.
  • Ensure compliance with security and operational risk standards, including networking, firewalls, availability, resilience, logging, and monitoring.
  • Maintain technical and operational documentation.
  • Participate in Change Management processes.
  • Evaluate and implement new services and solutions available within GCP.
  • Take part in a rotational on-call schedule supporting 24/7 operations.

Requirements that must be met

  • Experience building and maintaining services within a cloud environment, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
  • Experience configuring cloud networking, including VPC, Shared VPC/XPN, routing, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, ADFS, OAuth, and tools used for auditing, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Strong programming or scripting skills in at least one of the following: Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Groovy, or Scala.
  • Ability to work effectively with application, infrastructure, security, and cross-functional IT teams.
  • Proactive approach to process improvement and implementing change.
  • Very good command of English and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly.
  • Very good English and Polish.
