Kubernetes Platform SRE Team Lead – Container Orchestration

As a Senior Team Leader – Kubernetes Platform SRE, you will support a Private Cloud team for a global financial-services client. You will lead the development, scaling, and maintenance of an internal Kubernetes platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. The hybrid work model allows up to 3 remote days per week.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead and support a small, agile team in maintaining and improving the IKP infrastructure.
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and high performance of the Kubernetes platform.
• Collaborate on diagnosing complex infrastructure issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Support deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the Kubernetes environment.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement proactive reliability improvements.
• Manage incident response and troubleshooting, including participation in 24x7 on-call rotations.
• Work closely with global teams to align on best practices and ensure seamless operations.

You’re ideal for this role if you have

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts, troubleshooting, and operations.
• Experience with containerization, orchestration, and Unix systems administration.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills in English.
• Proven leadership skills in supporting and managing small technical teams.

It is a strong plus if you have

• Experience with Service Mesh technologies.
