Senior Data Scientist - Freelance

Location: Remote (CET working hours)

Start date: ASAP
Duration: Until the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension
Contract: B2B freelance, full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy forecasting algorithms and optimization models.
• Own the full production lifecycle, including model monitoring, incident response, and performance tuning.
• Scale forecasting models to optimize inventory replenishment, improve availability, and reduce delivery latency.
• Work in cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and design.
• Serve as a reference for system architecture, influencing technical decisions and aligning model integration with the overall platform design.
• Ensure reliability, low latency, and smooth integration of models with product features.

Requirements

Must-haves

• 7+ years of experience in Data Science designing robust end-to-end data workflows.
• At least 4 years of experience in forecasting techniques.
• Expert-level Python, Docker, and cloud-platform expertise in AWS or GCP.
• Solid understanding of the full model lifecycle.
• Deep operational knowledge of AI frameworks, such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, and their use in mission-critical systems.
• Experience with neural networks and full model lifecycle management, including drift detection and rollback strategies.
• Very good written and spoken English (C1).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Airflow, PySpark, and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in supply chain planning and optimization.
