For one of our clients, we are building a proactive talent pool for an experienced UI/UX Designer to join a digital product team at an international, high-profile public institution in Brussels.

In this near-site role, you will help design and optimize internal and external digital tools, platforms, and services used by thousands of stakeholders across Europe. You will collaborate with a multinational team to shape user-centered, accessible, and high-performing applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • User-Centered Design (UCD): Create user personas, user stories, user journey maps, and usability test plans to guide the product development lifecycle.
  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Design high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for complex enterprise systems.
  • User Testing & Research: Conduct A/B testing, remote and hallway testing, and eye-tracking analysis to iterate on designs.
  • Design Systems & Consistency: Work with and contribute to corporate frontend/component libraries, specifically Angular-based frameworks, to ensure cross-application consistency.
  • Accessibility & Compliance: Ensure designs align with UX best practices, ergonomics, responsive design principles, data protection and security standards, and web accessibility guidelines (WCAG/W3C).
  • Visual & Typographic Design: Create polished visual layouts, iconography, and graphic assets, and customize internal knowledge-sharing platforms such as Confluence.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product owners, and business analysts in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in UI/UX Design and digital product architecture.
  • EU citizenship is strictly required due to the nature of the institutional project.
  • Readiness to work in a near-site/hybrid model in Brussels, Belgium.
  • Expert knowledge of Figma, Balsamiq, InVision, UXPin, Framer.js, and Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks: Angular, React, and Vue.js.
  • Hands-on experience or good familiarity with corporate, component-based frontend frameworks, ideally corporate Angular-based libraries.
  • Deep knowledge of W3C standards, WCAG accessibility guidelines, and SEO principles.
