Front Office Support Engineer (Relocation to Sweden)

We’re looking for a proactive Front Office Application Support Specialist to join a Murex team in Stockholm. You’ll collaborate with a major bank, diagnosing and resolving functional issues for users within their Murex environment and ensuring efficient application usage.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the 1st line of support for all stakeholders across front, middle and back office functionality.
  • Diagnose and resolve functional issues for users within the Murex environment.
  • Collaborate directly with onsite front office users and business users.
  • Manage incidents, problems and changes according to established processes.
  • Prioritize and coordinate workload according to differing business priorities.
  • Share knowledge via training calls and internal documentation of issue resolutions.
  • Contribute to migration and/or upgrade activities, including testing.
  • Propose new ideas to streamline and automate processes.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of front, middle and back office functionality as the 1st line of support for all stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working.
  • Knowledge of SNAP, JIRA and Confluence.
  • Good knowledge of asset classes and products, including Derivatives, FX, Equities and Fixed Income.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work directly with onsite front office and business users.
  • Incident, Problem and Change Management knowledge.
  • Willingness to share knowledge through training calls and internal issue-resolution documentation.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload based on business needs and coordinate differing priorities across business areas.
  • Strong growth mindset and ideas for streamlining or automating processes.

Desirable

  • Experience in migration and/or upgrade activities and testing.
  • Technical experience with SQL and Unix.
  • Knowledge of FX and IRD products with optionality.

Nice to have

  • Trade Entry experience with FX and IRD products with optionality and structured trade products.
  • Datamart/Reporting experience.
  • Trade Lifecycle knowledge, including Contract, Exchange Task workflows and DataDictionary.
  • FO Simulation Views knowledge, including portfolio simulation by trade, by position and on-the-fly simulation.
  • Realtime setup, RTBS and Market Data troubleshooting for intraday and EOD.
  • Integrations with systems such as Markitwire and Bloomberg.
  • Pricing/structuring of trades and P&L impact of trade actions.
  • Strong knowledge of FO/Valuation modules.
  • Routine activities such as IMM and EOQ.
